Apricot Pie of Sorts

We tried this idea, which uses an almond bun as a base, one night after craving some apricot pie. Although it doesn’t come close to a freshly baked apricot pie with pastry and filling, it is still very enjoyable. The jam has a great tang to it, and the almond bun soaks up the cream nicely.

Recipe:

  1. Spread the almond bun with the jam.

  3. Heat the bun and jam in the microwave on high for 20 seconds (this is optional).
  4. Pour over the cream.

  6. Break the almond bun up with a spoon so that it absorbs the cream.
  7. Enjoy!
