This shake was an experiment. Although it was pleasant enough, I have only made it the once so it’s probably fair to say it wasn’t a huge success. However, I feel like it could be really good with a bit of fine tuning. In terms of whey powder, I used Reactive Pure New Zealand brand, which has no flavour added, no sweeteners, and no carbohydrates.
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp (30 g or 1 oz) of whey isolate powder
- 40 g (1.4 oz) of frozen raspberries
- 1 cup (250 ml or 8 fluid oz) of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla essence
- 2 drops of liquid sweetener (I used EZ-Sweetz)
- A couple of ice cubes (optional)
Recipe:
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth (approximately 1 minute).
- Pour into a glass and serve.
